Eric Friedland

Eric Friedland

Executive Chairman of the Board of Peregrine Diamonds Ltd.

Mr. Friedland has over 30 years of exploration, mine development and financing experience and was the founder of Peregrine Diamonds Ltd. in 2003. He was Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Peregrine Metals Ltd., a public copper exploration company that was a "spin-out" from Peregrine Diamonds. Peregrine Metals went public in 2010 and was sold to Stillwater Mining Company in a transaction valued at US$487 million in July, 2011. Mr. Friedland was President and a Director of Fairbanks Gold Ltd. and played a primary role in the development and financing of the Fort Knox gold discovery in Alaska and the subsequent sale of Fairbanks Gold to Amax Gold Corp. for $86 million in 1992. The Fort Knox deposit is now a major producing gold mine owned by Kinross Gold Corporation. He was formerly CEO and Director of Carson Gold Corp., which explored and developed gold mining assets in Venezuela, and while he was CEO, DiamondWorks Ltd. developed two producing diamond mines in Angola and re-opened the Koidu Diamond Mine in Sierra Leone. Mr. Friedland was also a Director of Ivanhoe Mines Ltd. from Ivanhoe's inception to its major Oyu Tolgoi copper-gold discovery in Mongolia, currently one of the world's largest copper-gold mines. He obtained a B.Sc. degree in Geophysics with a minor in Geology from the Colorado School of Mines.


Robert T. Boyd

Mr. Boyd is a senior mining executive with over 30 years experience in exploration, executive-level management, corporate finance and corporate governance. Mr. Boyd currently serves on the Board of Directors of True North Gems Ltd, Condor Resources Inc, and Endurance Gold Corporation. He also serves as a Director of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada, the Association for Mineral Exploration B.C and the National Maritime Centre Society. Mr. Boyd formerly held the position of President, CEO and Director of Ashton Mining of Canada Inc. prior to its acquisition in 2007. Before joining Ashton, Mr. Boyd was a founding principal and major shareholder of a financial and strategic advisory firm to the mining and mineral exploration industry and was also formerly Vice President Exploration for Homestake Canada Limited. Mr. Boyd is a widely respected geologist and gemmologist. He is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of B.C., the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, the Society of Economic Geologists, and a Fellow of the Geological Association of Canada, and Gemmological Associations of Great Britain and Canada.


Peter Meredith

Mr. Meredith served as the Chief Financial Officer of Ivanhoe Mines Ltd. (now Turquoise Hill Resources Ltd.) from June, 1999 to November, 2001 and from May, 2004 to May, 2006, and as Deputy Chairman from May, 2006 to April, 2012. He also served as the Chief Executive Officer of SouthGobi Resources Ltd. from June, 2007 to October, 2009. During his tenure with the Ivanhoe Group of Companies ("Ivanhoe") he participated in raising more than US$4 Billion to advance the business interests of various companies within the group. Prior to joining Ivanhoe, Mr. Meredith spent 35 years with the accounting firm Deloitte & Touche LLP where he was a Senior Partner. He has extensive experience in regulatory compliance and corporate finance, with an emphasis on public resource companies and is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. He has served on the Board of Directors of many companies, including but not limited to, Turquoise Hill Resources Ltd., Great Canadian Gaming Corp., China Gold International Resources Corp Ltd., SouthGobi Resources Ltd., Ivanhoe Energy Inc., Entree Gold Inc., Ivanhoe Australia Ltd., Asia Gold Corp., Besra Gold Inc. (formerly Olympus Pacific Minerals Inc.) and Jinshan Gold Mines Inc.


Richard Cohen

Mr. Cohen has over 30 years’ experience in the mining investment industry. From 1979 to 1981, Mr. Cohen worked as a mill metallurgist for Utah Mines Ltd. at their Island Copper Mine. Mr. Cohen began his mining investment career with Prudential Bache Securities in 1983 as a mining analyst. He subsequently worked as a mining analyst with BBN James Capel Inc. from 1986 to 1991 and with Goepel McDermid Inc. from 1991 to 1998. He joined Dundee Securities in 1998 as head of their mining corporate finance team and held the position Managing Director, Investment Banking until 2010. Currently, Mr. Cohen is a Managing Director at Primary Capital Inc. He received his B.A.Sc. degree in Mineral Engineering from the University of British Columbia in 1979 and his MBA degree from the University of Western Ontario in 1983. Mr. Cohen is designated as a Professional Engineer in the Provinces of British Columbia and Ontario.


Alan Carter

Dr. Carter has over 18 years of experience in the minerals exploration industry. He spent seven years working for Rio Tinto Corp. in South America and the U.K., most recently as Exploration Manager in Bolivia. In 1996, he became President and CEO of Balaclava Mines where he oversaw the acquisition and exploration of a number of gold projects in Peru and Ecuador. Dr. Carter joined Billiton plc in 1998 and moved from Peru to Vancouver in 2000 and was instrumental in the development of an aggressive strategy aimed at developing partnerships with junior exploration companies. Following the merger with BHP, Dr. Carter assumed the role of Manager, Business Development for BHP Billiton Diamonds where he was responsible for the commercial aspects of BHP Billiton's global portfolio of nickel and diamond exploration projects. He was the President and CEO of Magellan Minerals Ltd. from 2008 to May 2016 and is currently a director of Anfield Gold Ltd. and Equitas Resources Ltd. He has a B.Sc. degree in Geology from the University of Nottingham, U.K. and a Ph.D. degree from the University of Southampton, U.K.


CHANTAL GOSSELIN

Ms. Gosselin has over 24 years of combined experience in the mining industry and financial services. Ms. Gosselin most recently held the position of Vice President and Portfolio Manager at Goodman Investment Counsel. Prior to that, she served as a senior mining analyst at Sun Valley Gold LLP, a precious metals focused hedge fund. Between 2002 and 2008, Ms. Gosselin was the senior mining analyst and a partner of Genuity Capital Markets and held positions as a mining analyst with Haywood Securities Inc. and Dundee Securities Corporation. Between 1992 and 2000, she held various mine site management positions throughout the Americas with Blackhawk Mining Inc. and Pan American Silver Corporation and within Canada with Dynatec Mining Corporation and Aur Resources Inc. Ms. Gosselin received her Bachelor of Science Mine Engineering degree from Laval University and completed a Master in Business and Administration at Concordia University. She also completed the Chartered Investment Manager designation and the Director Education Program. She currently serves as a director and a member of the audit, corporate governance and nominating (Chair) and technical committees of Capstone Mining Corp. as well as a director and member of the audit committee of Windiga Energy, a private alternative energy company.


Myron Goldstein

Dr. Goldstein has over 35 years of diversified management, exploration and development experience in precious and base metals and uranium. He has worked as a Geophysicist for Kennecott Copper Corp. in Utah, as well as for Esso Eastern Inc. in South Africa and Australia. Since 1980, Dr. Goldstein has held senior management positions with Chevron Resources Co., Lac Minerals Ltd., and Global Mining Management in North and South America, Africa and Asia. Dr. Goldstein has a B.Sc. degree in Engineering Geophysics from the Colorado School of Mines, an M.Sc. degree in Geophysics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. degree in Physics Geophysics from the University of Toronto.
