DO-27 Camp, WO Diamond Project, NWT, Canada - February 9, 2006.
Peregrine Diamonds Ltd. (“Peregrine”) (TSX-V: PGD) is pleased to
announce that bulk sample drilling at the plus nine hectare DO-27
kimberlite pipe began today. The bulk sample is being extracted via
large diameter (24”) RC drilling that is being operated by the Ensign
Group, Encore Coring & Drilling Division, 24 hours per day.
At present there are three drill rigs operating at DO-27, two core rigs
and one large diameter RC rig. A third core rig and a second large
diameter RC rig are being mobilized to arrive on site this month.
The bulk sample will be extracted by mid-April, 2006 and processed at
the Test Sample Plant at BHP Billiton’s Ekati™ Diamond Mine located 50km
N.W. of DO-27.
More information regarding the bulk sampling program will be released as the program progresses.
Peregrine is a well funded Canadian diamond exploration/development
company that is managed by experienced geoscientists. The company is
taking the plus 9 hectare DO-27 diamondiferous kimberlite into
pre-feasibility, and is exploring for other diamondiferous kimberlites
