(“Peregrine”) (TSX-PGD) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr.
James Crawford as Supervisor - WO Diamond Project.
Mr. Crawford has over 13 years of international mineral exploration experience with a focus on diamonds.
Mr. Crawford graduated with a Master of Science (Geology) from Queen’s
University, Canada in 2003 where he primarily studied the geology of
kimberlites from the Slave Craton of Northern Canada, which included
working with Dr. Barbara Scott-Smith at the DeBeers Canada Exploration
Inc. Kimberlite Petrology Laboratory in Vancouver. Mr. Crawford received
his Bachelor of Science, Honours (Geology) from Queen’s University in
Mr. Crawford worked for Kennecott Canada Exploration Inc. from 2003 to
2006, starting as a geologist on Kennecott’s Broduer Pennisula
kimberlite exploration project. He was also Manager of Kennecott’s
Sample Processing facility in Thunder Bay, Ontario where he oversaw the
successful construction, commissioning and operations of a ten tonne per
hour, Dense Media Separation (DMS), diamond recovery facility. Prior to
joining Peregrine, Mr. Crawford was the Field Manager for Kennecott’s
Western Canadian Coal Project where he was responsible for all aspects
of coal exploration activities in British Columbia and Alberta.
From 1994 to 2001, Mr. Crawford was a mineralogist and then Senior
Mineralogist with the diamond division of Golden Star Resources, with
exploration programs in Guyana, Suriname, French Guiana and the Ivory
From 1989 to 1994, Mr. Crawford was a research assistant in the geology
department of Queen’s University and a contract geologist to
Falconbridge Exploration Inc. and the Ontario Geological Survey.
Prior to 1989, Mr. Crawford served three years of active duty in the
United States Marine Corps where he received a Navy Achievement Medal
and two meritoriously awarded promotions culminating in the rank of
Peregrine is a well funded Canadian diamond exploration/development
company that is managed by experienced geoscientists. The company is
completing a Preliminary Technical Assessment Report on the 9 hectare
DO-27 and 3 hectare DO-18 diamondiferous kimberlite pipes, and is
exploring for other diamondiferous kimberlites on its extensive land
