Peregrine Announces $10 Million Private Placement

Peregrine Diamonds Ltd. (“Peregrine”) (TSX:PGD) announces a private placement of units for gross proceeds of up to $10 million. The units consist of one common share and one-half of a non-transferrable share purchase warrant at a price of $2.50 per unit. One whole share purchase warrant will entitle the holder to purchase one common share at a price of $3.00 for a period of 12 months from closing, anticipated to occur on or about October 27, 2010.

The private placement is being conducted on a best efforts agency basis by a syndicate led by Dundee Securities Corporation and including Salman Partners Inc. and Cormark Securities Inc. The agents will receive a cash commission of 5% of the gross proceeds raised.

Net proceeds from the sale of the units will be used for exploration and development of Peregrine’s projects in Canada, and for general working capital purposes. The private placement is subject to regulatory approval and resale of the units will be subject to a hold period of four months and one day following the date of closing.
